sambodromo

holy mother, that was unbelieveable!! we went to the carnaval
show at sambodromo for the first of two groups which are
fighting for the chamionship. It started at 9pm and we went
home around 5am the next day- each of the 6 sambaschools
performed for 1h20min everything they got to rule the sambo-
dromo carnaval street- when the first group of the school
reached the end of the 1km long street the last one just
entered it, so you can imagine how much people were walking
in that street- I guess per school it must be around 4000 people-

my personal favorite: spinning roulette wheels!! I missed
the front-dancing girl which had a roulette skirt which was
hocked up with led´s!!

the qualtity of the pictures is not the best -I know, but the
truth is that we didnt had the best places, but the cheapest-
the tourist paid for one show around 1000reais, we 40reais.
other "little cabins" were for the night around 5000reais where
the celebreties hang around.
In the end, its a thing that you shouldnt miss, but to get really
freaked out you should spent in a better seat, because you
only can see the fantastic costumes and the crazy dancers
when you are in the first line-
